Hi,
I’m Sam!

Hi everyone, a pleasure to e-meet you! My name is Samantha but you can call me Sam or Teacher Sam. I am an early childhood practitioner and graduate student specialising in Constructivism at Portland State University. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with Psychology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and a Diploma with Merit in Early Childhood Education from Temasek Polytechnic.

As a pedagogist and curriculum writer, I love creating and co-designing play sessions with children. I strongly believe in the power of play and my practice is anchored on the values of guidance, free play and constructivism. Currently, I lead play sessions together with my co-teachers at Kurios Oasis. Find out more about our Kurios Oasis playdates by clicking on the button below:

About Kurios Oasis

Kurios Oasis is a passionate endeavor driven by a deep-rooted belief in the power of constructivist early childhood education and play. Guided by a teaching philosophy rooted in responsiveness and autonomy, we strive to create an environment where children can flourish as independent learners, capable of constructing their own knowledge.

At Kurios Oasis, we are dedicated to igniting a love for learning in young minds. Through child-led play projects and a rich variety of experiences, we aim to unlock the potential of each child, nurturing them into respectful and confident critical thinkers, preparing them for the demands of the 21st Century.
